D.M. Ross was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1953 , and is still a resident of that fine city.
With no formal art education or training he began painting in his early 20's as a method of releasing a creative urge.
His major influence is quite obviously the great Cubists (Picasso, Braque, Gris etc.) but he enjoys and is influenced by a wide variety of painters , including Cezanne , Bacon, Pollock, Audette, Gleeson , Harding, Jennings ... and way too many others to list here.
His work is represented in private collections in Japan, USA , UK , the Middle East , South East Asia , and Australia.
